VIG Sponsors Billy Budd At His Upcoming Formula Grass Track Race

We are pleased to announce that VIG is now the proud sponsor of the talented Billy Budd at his upcoming formula grass track race.

At just 6 years old Billy showed an interest in grass track racing, showing commitment to the sport. Billy started with auto cadets and progressed to the cubs, he won the cubs championship twice at just 8 years old. Billy then joined the junior team a year early and won the championship title last season.

Laurence Rogers, the Birmingham boss, was delighted that Billy was to be the team mascot, given his potential for future wins. As Billy is only 12 years old, he is not yet qualified to participate in the midland and southern development leagues for the Bulls, but he will gain valuable experience from the laps he takes at Birmingham.

Billy was proud to represent the Brummies as their mascot and was totally thrilled to ride as many laps as he possibly could on the Birmingham circuit. His dad, Nick, said that following the last season, Billy would concentrate mainly on his speedway vocation. Next season, he will compete in the speedway youth series and secure some rides in the Northern Junior League. With the mentorship of the former Ellesmere Port Gunners top man, John Jackson, Billy's success in the sport is set to shoot high!
