Specialist Skills & Qualifications
Taking pride in our experience and skill
At VIG, we take great pride in having the specialist skills, knowledge and experience to carry out heavy machinery moves and factory relocations promptly and effectively. This is reflected in both our industry accreditations and in-house teams of highly trained and qualified engineers and project managers who have worked on hundreds of projects across a wide-range of industry sectors.
Our People
We recognise that our people are our biggest asset and, as such, do not utilise any external Agency resources as our Industry-leading workforce understands our business ethos, and this is reflected in our high retention of operational personnel as well as repeat customers.
Our team look to embed themselves within the client delivery team, and due to our working practices, our customer often asks for the same team they’ve collaboratively worked with on previous projects.
We pride ourselves on being a solution-based business that listens to our customers’ needs, and our expert team are able to provide solutions or alternative methods to deliver projects in the most cost-efficient manner.
CCNSG Safety Passport
The CCNSG (Client Contractor National Safety Group) Safety Passport is the engineering construction industry safety card. Workers must have a valid CCNSG Safety Passport to enter many engineering and construction sites. As a result, around 30,000 people complete the course each year.
EMSS Safety Passport
The EMSS card, first and foremost, demonstrates that its holder has an audited and approved level of underpinning knowledge and provides evidence of their ability to understand further site-specific training, instruction and inductions. This enables them to work in high-hazard environments.
CPCS Card
The Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) provides skills cards for the plant sector of the Construction and allied industries. It was launched in 2003, and since then, over 300,000 cards have been issued across 64 categories of plant and related occupations.
CSCS Card
CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the appropriate training and qualifications for the job they do on-site. By ensuring the workforce is appropriately qualified, the card plays its part in improving standards and safety on UK construction sites.
SSTS – Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme
This course covers our supervisors who work on your site. They are educated in health & safety law, responsibilities for site safety, how to produce risk assessments and method statements, delivering site inductions, and how to monitor site activities and interventions when identifying bad practices.
IOSH Managing Safely
Is about understanding your responsibilities as a manager for health & safety, not only on-site but for all of your staff and the staff of the company you are working for. This ensures all of our staff understand what they are responsible for.
Crane Supervisor (CPCS)
The Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS) training course is aimed at Supervisors, Managers and Slinger Signallers who supervise lifting operations. The course aims to instruct delegates on how to safely supervise a lifting operation to ensure compliance with the law and secure the health & safety of all employees and of those who may be affected by their actions.
ECS/JIB Card
JIB grading is used to identify a cardholder’s position and status in the electrotechnical industry. To be awarded a JIB grade, you have to prove you have the qualifications and experience for the ECS occupation and JIB grade.
