Industrial Machinery
Relocation & Haulage

With 5 decades of industrial relocation experience, we have helped hundreds of clients relocate manufacturing operations both within the UK and overseas.

We have done this whilst minimising disruption to their production and ensuring outstanding safety and compliance throughout their relocation.

Experts in Industrial Relocation Projects

Whether you are relocating in the UK or overseas, we provide a full industrial relocation service to help you move your existing production lines, machinery or equipment.

Industrial relocations are handled in partnership with our clients, going beyond a basic Lift & Shift, to provide flexible solutions in order to minimise operational downtime and streamline your new production site.

Every machinery move and industrial relocation we perform is centred around safety, and we place it first on our list of priorities. We have a proven safety record due to our decades of experience, documented operating practices, and compliance with regulatory standards.

A full health & safety planning phase is conducted before moving equipment, machinery, or plants. Specifically, this includes Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), Job Safety Plans, and any necessary safety training. As part of our health & safety program, we also hold regular meetings with all project members (often weekly or monthly).

Our Machinery Relocation Service Includes:

  • A specific project manager is assigned to supervise the entire move.
  • Non-essential machinery is carefully removed and disposed of in compliance with all necessary regulations
  • A thorough site inspection is conducted to identify any safety hazards or accessibility challenges, allowing for proactive planning and ensuring all Health & Safety guidelines are met.
  • Safe and reliable transportation of production machinery and equipment is provided, both within the UK and internationally.
  • A complete set of safety-related documents, such as risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), lift plans, compliance certificates, and CDM management, is provided where necessary.
  • Non-marking electric machinery is used, specially designed for sterile environments such as pharmaceutical, healthcare and food industries.
  • Heavy equipment and machinery are moved using our in-house fleet, including forklifts, versa lifts, and a range of cranes
  • Upon completion of the relocation, all necessary documentation is handed over to confirm the successful move and compliance.
  • Both mechanical and electrical disconnections and reconnections are carried out, with disconnection sheets provided.
  • A team of skilled, in-house workers is assigned to the relocation.
  • Machinery is positioned at the required location, bolted down, and floor markings are applied as needed to ensure proper installation and stability.
  • Full Turnkey solutions are available for complex relocations.
  • Machinery and production lines are packed and prepared for export, ensuring adherence to country-specific transport regulations.
  • Both short-term and long-term storage facilities are provided for machinery and equipment between moves or during individual relocations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is included in a turnkey machinery relocation service?

Our turnkey machinery relocation service encompasses the entire project lifecycle, starting with comprehensive technical planning and site surveys through to final commissioning. We manage every critical stage, including the drafting of RAMS, M&E disconnections, heavy lifting, and specialist transport, alongside the precision offloading, positioning, and re-levelling of your assets at their new destination. By overseeing the move from the initial planning phase until the equipment is fully commissioned and ready for production, we eliminate the need for multiple contractors and provide a single, reliable point of accountability for your entire operation.

Protection begins with secure industrial packing, often using VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) foils to prevent oxidation. During transit, we use air-suspension vehicles and bespoke internal bracing to neutralise vibration. For high-precision CNC centres or laboratory equipment, we can also include shock-monitoring sensors to provide a recorded audit trail of the machine’s stability throughout the journey.
