Industrial Machinery & Equipment Packaging

At AIS VIG Industrial, industrial packaging is more than a standalone service – it’s a crucial part of our full turnkey solution for machinery moving and factory relocation projects. Secure, compliant, and expertly executed packaging is key to protecting your equipment and keeping your project on track.

Custom Packaging for Heavy Machinery & Equipment

With decades of experience working across sectors such as automotive, energy, precision engineering, and manufacturing, we understand the demands of complex industrial environments. Our packaging services are designed to integrate seamlessly with our heavy lifting, mechanical & electrical, and project management capabilities, giving you a single trusted partner from start to finish.

Export Packing & Crating Built to Industry & MOD Standards

We offer bespoke export packing and casemaking, tailored to your equipment specifications and transport requirements. From custom timber and plywood cases built to BS1133 and MOD standards, to UN-approved cartons for hazardous goods, we ensure that every asset is fully protected for road, sea, or air freight.

Our team handles all loading, lashing, securing, and documentation, so nothing is left to chance.

Integrated Packaging for Every Move

What makes AIS VIG Industrial different is our ability to wrap packaging into the wider relocation strategy. It’s not just about boxing up equipment, it’s about making sure it’s safely moved, precisely installed, and back online with minimal disruption. Because we manage everything in-house, from packing to final bolt-down, we reduce delays, mitigate risk, and help keep your project on time and within budget.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do your timber packing crates comply with ISPM 15 international shipping regulations?

Yes. All our timber packaging is heat-treated and marked in strict accordance with ISPM 15 standards. This is a legal requirement for exporting machinery to most global destinations, including the USA, China, and the EU. Our compliant crating ensures your shipment clears customs without the risk of delays, fines, or being returned due to non-compliant wood packaging.

We utilise high-performance VCI (Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor) papers and vacuum-sealed barrier foils to protect sensitive metal surfaces. By removing the air and adding desiccants before sealing the foil, we create a climate-controlled environment inside the crate. This prevents moisture, salt air, and condensation from causing “white rust” or oxidation on your machinery during long-duration sea freight or storage.

Absolutely. Every crate we build is bespoke-engineered to the specific dimensions and weight distribution of your asset. We use heavy-duty timber bases and internal bracing to prevent movement during transit. For oversized loads, we coordinate with our lifting team to ensure the crate features integrated lifting points or “skid” bases, allowing for safe handling by cranes and forklifts at both ends of the journey.
